What a Way to Start 2025!
It was an amazing day on February 2, 2025 at La Cantina Winery for the Galentine’s Day Sip, Shop and Love, organized by Jill's Events!

  • 14 vendors
  • 250+ people were served food
  • An estimated 300-400 people came out!
  • $350 raised, from the raffle, for The SAFE Coalition

Franklin Among Districts sharing $1 Mil Healey-Driscoll Innovation Career Grants

The Healey-Driscoll Administration announced Thursday $1 million in Innovation Career Pathway grants to 29 school districts. This funding enables districts to plan and implement pathway programs that provide students with coursework and experiences in high-demand STEM industries before they graduate high school, including in health care, technology, manufacturing, life sciences, and environmental sustainability. Franklin received $15,000 to support program implementation.

Franklin DPW Handles Maple St. Water Main Break

On Wednesday, life we disrupted a bit by a water main break. According to Water & Sewer supervisor Doug Martin. 
The break occurred around 6:30am and the crew had the
water shut off by 7:30am. "We replaced a 4-ft section of water main
and had the water back on around 1:30pm."  Martin warned that it will likely take some
time for the discolored and cloudy water to subside and settle down.
