Making a Fun Fuss Over the Town's Birthday

Making a Fun Fuss Over the Town's Birthday

For at least a dozen years (with a Covid interruption) the Franklin
Historical Museum has been celebrating the “birthday” of
Franklin, each year on the date when its municipal existence was
approved by the General Court, Mar. 2, 1778. And, for good measure,
the event has typically included invites to all those in town who
share the birthday.

This year, in an effort to engage more residents and ramp up the fun,
the Museum is having its usual, cake, coffee, and refreshments along
with a Franklin Trivia contest. Those with a Mar. 2 birthday will
still be glad they came (come and find out why!).

Most of the questions are pretty basic Franklin 101, with a few that
are a bit more obscure.

And the prizes? The grand prize is a $50 gift card to the Rome
Restaurant. Three runner up contestants will each get a gift card
that can be spent at Birchwood Bakery!

The event runs from 1-4 on Sunday, Mar 2, at the Franklin Historical Museum, 80 West Central Street, Franklin
