On the evening of March 28, 2025, Albert "Al" Attubato, 79, a lifelong resident of Medway, MA, succumbed to his health issues, after a valiant fight.
We lost him peacefully, with each member of his loving family by his side.
Al had enormous pride in his 53-year long career as a meat cutter, working both at Fernandes and Roche Brothers. His dedication and work ethic became a cornerstone to the values he imparted upon his children, and grandchildren.
Al leaves behind his wife of nearly 58 years, Jacquelyne "Jacquie" Attubato, whom he loved deeply, and he expressed his love and gratitude to her daily. Al and Jacquie traveled the world together, including renewing their wedding vows on a cruise ship in the Panama Canal.
Al leaves behind his children, Laura Attubato Sarno, and her husband, Paul; his daughter, Alicia Attubato; his son, Matthew Attubato, and his wife Jennifer.
His beloved grandson and best friend, Jacob Attubato, his two remarkable grandaughters, Nicolette and Charlotte; and his great granddaughter, Sophia Grace.
Al was predeceased by his late parents, Antonio and Clementina Attubato; his late foster parents, George and Grace Johnson; and his late brother, Joseph Attubato, who is survived by his wife Marion; his sister, Marie Pasquinelli; his brother, Robert Attubato, and many nephews and nieces.
Al was generous, hilarious, and loved spending his entire life in his childhood home in the town he loved, surrounded by family and lifelong friends, whom he considered to be his brothers: Jack O'Brien, Tim Lamay, and Benny Bennett.
Al expressed often that he had a life well-lived, with a wife he adored, children and great-grandchildren whom he was deeply proud of, a home he cherished, a stable career, and an extensive group of family and friends. He had no regrets, and no dreams he didn't accomplish.
We loved him with all of our hearts, and we will miss him terribly. The world lost a great man, but we will continue to carry his legacy on with kindness, love for each other, and the humor he passed on to all of us.
