Call for Artists - Artsy Box 25 Project
The Franklin Cultural District has announced the start of the Artsy Box 25' Project! This year we are focused on the renewal of the box "Love Bugs" located on Town Common created by Ray Powers and Greyson Higgens.
We are calling on all local artists for designs that speak to the vibrant energy of Franklin. The selected artist will need to be able to prime and prep the box prior to painting it with the approved design. We are looking for artists that will add color and flare to our town.
If you'd like to be considered, get the Artsy Box submission form by clicking the link; https://form.jotform.com/250844751079160 and complete and submit the form no later that April 25, 2025 by 3PM. A photo of the box that is being updated is above and is located on the Union Street side of the Town Common.

Franklin Veterinary Clinic Announces Retirement of Dr. Castillo
After more than three & a half decades of dedication to veterinary medicine, Dr. Castillo is officially retiring, according to an email sent to customers.. His impact on The Franklin Veterinary Clinic, our staff, clients, and the community has been immeasurable, and while we are sad to see him go, we are beyond grateful for the legacy he leaves behind. Dr. Castillo’s last day will be June 1st, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating his remarkable career. Dr. Castillo joined The Franklin Veterinary Clinic as an associate in 1996, became part owner in 1999, and in 2002, he fulfilled his vision by becoming the sole owner. His goal was to create more than just a veterinary clinic—he wanted a place where pets receive exceptional medical care, clients feel like family, and staff are supported in their growth and success. Under his leadership, the clinic grew from a small 1,000-square-foot practice into a state-of-the-art, 6,000-square-foot facility. Through his mentorship, he built a skilled veterinary team and fostered a workplace culture rooted in teamwork, compassion, and a true sense of family.
