Above, rumor has it a founding father might be out by the dawn's early light to check out the town's Ladybug Trail!
Join Us for the Ladybug Trail Spring Walk!
The Franklin Downtown Partnership Has Taken the Annual Event up a Notch.
Celebrate the arrival of spring with the Ladybug Trail Spring Walk, happening in Downtown Franklin on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th.
You’re invited to stroll through downtown on either day—whether you choose to dodge a few raindrops on Saturday or wait for the sunnier skies on Sunday, our local businesses will be open and ready to welcome you.
New this year, on Saturday Only (in the morning) the Dean College Science Department will have a short family-friendly program along Main Street at the front of the campus about the science of our insect friend. If the weather is inclement, the program, led by Dr. Leah S. Brault, Assistant Professor of Biology, will move inside the Campus Center.
Trail maps are available at most downtown locations to help guide your adventure.
The Franklin Historical Museum, open Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM will have Trail Maps available, complimentary waters while they last, and restrooms for those in need...AND a continuously running slide show and memorabilia about the Franklin kids of 1974 who made the Ladybug the official state insect of Massachusetts!
We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you—see you downtown!
