Franklin Senior Center Bus Officially Dedicated

Although it has been in service for several months, it was only on Thursday that the town finally made it official with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Franklin Senior Center. The bus is making possible a whole range of new programs for senior citizens in town.

Medway Wants Swim Coach

Medway Parks and Recreation is looking for an experienced, patient, knowledgeable, and energetic staff member to serve as the Head Swimming Coach for the Medway/Millis Summer Swim Team. Responsibilities include attending all practices and swim meets (practice times are typically 7:00 am – 8:00 am); meets are held on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Medway Firefighters to Graduate on Friday

State Fire Marshal Jon M. Davine and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy leadership will present certificates of completion to almost three dozen graduating recruits this coming Friday morning at the Department of Fire Services’ main campus in Stow.  Graduates represent 15 fire departments.

According to a report from WJAR,  the Woonsocket city council has passed a new ordinance banning homeless encampments. Some see it as a cleanup effort, others argue it only masks deeper issues.

Memorial Day Mass at Franklin's St. Mary's Cemetery

The St. Mary's parish has announced that there will be a Memorial Day Cemetery Mass on Mon, May 26 at 9:00 AM, "To celebrate those who died in service to our country." Bring lawn chairs for comfort. If it rains, Mass will be held in the Chapel. Note: There will be no 7:00am Mass.
