Franklin Preps to Decide on $3.8 Million Override on Tuesday

Above, voters at the polls in March of 2024. Tuesday's vote is a near repeat of an override measure put before voters in June of 2024, one that was narrowly defeated.

Tomorrow, the voters will speak. And many already have, according to Franklin Town Clerk, Nancy Danello, as of the end-of-day Friday, 2266 of the town 25,865 registered voters have voted in person on the Override Election. In addition:
Total Absentee Ballots Mailed - 160 - Total Absentee Ballots Returned - 142
Total vote by mail and in person voters, inclusive - 2436
Danello noted that her staff will not be advance opening or depositing ballots for this election. Everything will be opened and processed on election day, Tuesday.

NOTE: The Town Clerk's Office will be closed on 6/3/2025 due to the special election. Please plan accordingly.
