FRANKLIN: Katherine Elizabeth Curley

Katherine Elizabeth (Neelon) Curley, 97 of Franklin died March 24 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Charles M. Curley who died in 1984.

Born in Boston, February 16,1929, the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Doherty) Curley, Katherine was raised in Hyde Park and had lived in Franklin since 1960.

Katherine had been a health care worker at Wrentham Developmental Center for many years.

She had previously worked in the Franklin High School Cafeteria and as a bank teller earlier in her life in downtown Boston.

She loved to be in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whenever she could and also enjoyed retelling her family lineage with remarkable detail and listening to Irish music.

Katherine is survived by her sons, George Curley of Franklin, and his wife Denise, and Brian Curley and wife Sandi of Foley, Alabama.

She was the mother of the late Kevin and Gregory Curley and Denise Trotta.

She was the sister of the late John, Kenneth, Donal, and Robert Neelon and Helen MacIsaac and Florence Norton.

Katherine is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be held on Friday April 10 in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
