MEDWAY: Stephen Dennis Murray

Stephen Dennis Murray, 81, a former resident of Medway, MA died July 8th at his home in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was the beloved husband of Carol F. Murray (Ranaghan) since 1965.

Born in Boston on February 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Norbert and Dorothea Murray (Mueller). Steve graduated from Foxboro High School, attended Northeastern University, and worked for John Hancock Life Insurance Company for 30 years where he retired as Vice President.

The best part of Steve's life came during his 25 years of retirement. While living in Medway, he shared daycare responsibilities with his wife, bringing their grandchildren back and forth to school and enjoying watching them play in the pool. Steve and Carol traveled extensively during retirement, visiting places such as Australia, South America, Europe, and Alaska.

Steve was a dedicated resident of the Tuscany Bay community in Boynton Beach, FL for 20 years. He was an avid walker and a valued contributor to the community's Board of Directors and various social committees.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three sons and their wives:

- Stephen "Dennis" Murray Jr. and Leslie Murray of Dennis, MA

- Chris Murray and Leah Murray of Franklin, MA

- Jim Murray and Miriam Khris of Parkland, FL

He is also survived by his five grandchildren and their partners, all of whom he cherished and welcomed during their visits to Florida:

- Matthew Murray and Giang Murray

- Kevin Murray and Angie Canesi

- Morgan Murray and Christian Polymeros

- Brianna LeBlanc (Murray) and Cam LeBlanc

- Jason Murray and Sydney Dion

Funeral services will be private, and a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
