Lighting Strike Damages Home Overnight

Residents near Fletcher Field were awakened in the wee hours of the morning by a loud bang, which turned out to be a lightning strike on the roof area of a home on North Park Street. The lightning produced extensive fire damage. With the help of responding emergency crews, everyone escaped safely with the exception of a pet cat.
