FRANKLIN: Sandra L. de Oliveira

Sandra L. (Varney) de Oliveira, 82 of Franklin, MA died peacefully on November 14, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cambridge, MA on January 17, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Warren and Alice Ruth (Frado) Varney.

Sandra was a resident of Franklin, MA for 22 years. She grew up in Sudbury, MA, graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, and attended Northland College in Ashland, WI.

Prior to her retirement, she was a daycare provider, caterer and a realtor.

Sandra enjoyed a lifetime of vacationing in Truro, MA. She found joy in cooking, baking, fishing, reading, listening to music and writing beautiful poetry. Above all, her most cherished moments were those spent with her family, especially with her four grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Monica Tashjian of Framingham, MA, Aleece Fitzgerald and her significant other Patrick Weafer of Franklin, MA, and Courtney Harrington, her husband Derek, and their children, Madison, Sydney, Jake and Elle, of Franklin MA

She is also survived by her sister Linda MacKey and her husband John of Sutton, MA, and their three children.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and support extended to them during this difficult time.

Sandra’s funeral arrangements will be held privately at the request of her family and are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Nick Gaspar Foundation.
