Veteran Boston 25 News reporter and longtime Franklin resident Bob Ward has published his first book, Face to Face with Whitey Bulger: An FBI Agent’s Account of Capturing and Debriefing Boston’s Most Notorious Gangster. In celebration, Ward has scheduled a book signing at "Unlikely Story" bookstore in Plainville on 5/30 at 630pm.  Ward is widely regarded as one of the best crime reporters in New England. His reporting at WFXT has spanned more than two decades. Bob’s exceptional storytelling combined with his extensive law enforcement contacts led to the creation of his Boston 25 series, "New England's Unsolved."

Medical Emergency Delays Medway Trash

There was a delay in trash pickup in Medway on Tuesday, , due to a medical emergency involving one of the route drivers. The affected areas included Winthrop St. to the town line, plus all side streets down to Adams St.

Governor Approves more Innovation Programs at High Schools

The Healey-Driscoll Administration today announced the approval of 41 new Innovation Career Pathways (ICP) programs across 36 high schools in 31 districts, continuing the administration’s efforts to connect Massachusetts students to high-demand careers and strengthen the state’s innovation economy. Foxborough was among several high schools that will be offering Innovation Career Pathways for the first time. Starting in school year 2026-2027,  at which point Innovation Career Pathways will be offered in nearly 36 percent of eligible high schools across Massachusetts. Other districts awarded funds include Bellingham, Blackstone-Millville, and Holliston.

Medway's Jake Trainor Again Racing in  "Little 500"

It's Little 500 week at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana. It's a mecca for sprint car racing, lLke its bigger namesake, it also involves 500 laps, though the track is only a 1/4 mile oval.  This  Saturday's  competition will feature Jake Trainor of Medway, a previous winner there. who is joined by three other former champions all seeking to repeat their wins.
