A sunny Friday afternoon made the perfect setting for the Franklin Farmers Market on July 23. Most of the regular vendors were present and strollers (a lot of them) were serenaded by the Franklin High School Jazz Ensemble.
Again, the Franklin Library hosted a booth with craft activities for children from 3:30 to 4:30. Caleigh Keating, Youth Services Librarian, said the fun will continue with a different activity at each Farmers Market through August 27. “Next Friday we will have a Jungle Obstacle Course,” she said
The market segued into 5PM Concert on the Common and Movie Night sponsored by Franklin Recreation Department
The Frank Padula Band was slated for 6-8 pm with the film “Spider Man into the Spider Verse” following at 8.
The only ‘mishap’ was an afternoon report of a woman unconscious on the grass, an apparent medical issue, that led to a call to Franklin dispatch.
