SAFE Coalition has announced its 2026 Gala, “Celebrating 10 Years,” for Friday, April 17, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The milestone event will celebrate a decade of compassionate, judgment-free support for individuals and families affected by substance use disorder, mental health challenges, and related concerns across southeastern Massachusetts.

"This gala celebrates not just 10 years of SAFE, but 10 years of lives transformed, families healed, and hope restored,” says SAFE Co-founder and Director of Family Recovery Jim Derick. “I'm excited to celebrate this milestone with everyone who believes in our mission—from our dedicated staff and volunteers to the individuals and families whose resilience inspires us every single day.”

Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner, live music performed by artists in recovery, an inspiring keynote address, silent and live auctions, and the presentation of the Jeffrey N. Roy Excellence in Community Service Award. Exclusive Gillette Stadium lighthouse tours will also be available.

SAFE was founded in 2015 after a community discussion on the rising number of deaths from opioid use and what could be done to address the growing epidemic. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a nonprofit serving over 55 communities across Massachusetts with programs for teens, support groups for loved ones impacted by others’ substance use, harm reduction education, resources for families in need like a community diaper bank, housing support, and more. All of SAFE’s services are free to recipients, and no insurance is needed.

“SAFE's decade of growth shows that meeting people where they are—without judgment, without barriers—creates lasting change,” says SAFE CEO and Co-founder Jennifer Levine. "As we celebrate how far we've come and look to the future, we're committed to continuing that work in every community we serve."

The gala brings together stakeholders, community partners, and members of the public to celebrate SAFE’s impact over the past decade, highlight the organization’s services and successes, and chart a course for the next 10 years.

Businesses and individuals across New England can show their support by securing a sponsorship, purchasing tickets or a table, and donating to the live and silent auctions.
