Milford Man Arraigned in Connection with Death of Medway Resident

A 60-year-old man was arraigned in Milford District Court Monday on charges related to the assault of 54-year-old Michael Albro, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.

John J. Bonnell, of Milford, was charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and assault with intent to murder. He was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on May 11.

On Friday, May 1, Milford Police Department responded to a call requesting emergency services at Birmingham Court in Milford, a facility run by the local housing authority, following an earlier altercation between Bonnell and Albro. Albro sustained serious injuries, was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital, and later died.

The incident remains under investigation by the Milford Police Department and Mass. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
