FRANKLIN: Ruth E. Emmons -- Celebration of Life

Ruth E. Emmons 93, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Saturday February 28, 2026 at Milford Regional Medical Center, following an illness.

Born April 23, 1932, in Franklin a daughter of Wallace and Anne (Greeley) Emmons, she was a lifelong resident of Franklin.

She was raised and educated in Franklin and was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School.

Ruth worked for the Lorusso Corporation as an accountant.

Ruth was a former member of the Franklin Housing Authority, where she was instrumental in the building of Eaton Place and served on the Council on Aging.

She loved Gardening and Sewing and active member of her community. She loved singing watching the bruins and baseball and always up for an adventure. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by Maureen Ayotte niece Melody Ayotte great niece Cora and Ryder Clow and extended family Doug Dempsey, Cynthia Ravinski, Heather Cynthia and Greg Dempsey Janet Ravinski and her many friends from St John's Episcopal Church.

Ruth was the sister of the late Robert W. Emmons and Donald G. Emmons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant St. Franklin, Wednesday May 6, 2026 at 12 noon.

Burial will follow at City Mills Cemetery.
