Paula Marie Martinez, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, May 27, 2026, in the comfort of her cozy bed at The Willows Assisted Living in Medway. She was the beloved wife of the late Pablo Joel Martinez, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories in their Braintree home.
Born in Savin Hill, Dorchester, Paula was the youngest of seven sisters; Noreen Riel, Madeline Healey, Gail Harding
Claire Goulding, Jacqueline McCann, and Margarita Miller. She lived a simple and meaningful life, and all who knew her recognized her kind heart and positive spirit. Paula enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, Good Girls and Young Sheldon, and time with her dog, Charlie, whom she called her "darling"
Before retirement, Paula worked as a postal clerk. She is survived by her four children, Paul, Bryon, David, and Rita; six grandchildren; Arianna, Erica, Evan, Devi, Stirling, and Crawford.
Among her greatest joys was the special relationship she shared with Arianna, whose love and companionship meant the world to her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St, Braintree. A service will begin at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
