Franklin July 4 Coalition Thanks Sponsors and Attendees

Our Nation’s 250th Anniversary and Annual 4th of July Celebration was a great success in Franklin despite some of the hottest temperatures we’ve ever experienced during the history of this event.
Thousands of residents from Franklin and beyond joined us on the town common and at FHS for an incredible lineup of music and an impressive fireworks show from American Thunder.

We would like to thank the non-profit organizations that made huge commitments of their energy and time to be part of the celebration, including the Franklin Rod & Gun Club, Franklin Democratic Town Committee, FHS Class of 1978, Franklin July 4th Coalition and the Franklin 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee. Over 10,000 hours of volunteer time was dedicated to this event.

We would also like to thank the hundreds of residents and dozens of businesses that help us pay for the music, fireworks, Police and Fire/EMT details, insurance, patriotic bunting/decorations, porta potties, dumpsters, etc. Prior to the creation of our Coalition in 1982 the Town of Franklin funded this event, but over the past 44 years we have been self-funded and we rely on your donations.
