Rose L. (Bissanti) Ryan, 98, of Woonsocket, RI passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Friendly Home. She was the beloved wife for 59 years of the late Michael P. Ryan who passed in 2015. Born on December 10, 1922 in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Guerra) Bissanti. Rose is survived by her brother Edward Bissanti of Franklin, MA and her sister Barbara Graziani of Salem, NH. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Alfio, Andrew, Anthony, Matthew, Donald, Walter and Wallace Bissanti, Vincintina Odoardi and Brenda Conti. She leaves many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ryan was a resident of Woonsocket since 1979 formerly of Franklin, MA. She had worked as a credit manager at Sears in Franklin for 25 years until retiring in 1975. Following her time at Sears, she also worked as a secretary at various locations and sold real estate, first for the Oscar J. Ryan Agency and then for the Andrew Bissanti Agency.
She was a communicant of the former Assumption Church in Bellingham and St. Theresa Church in Blackstone where she served as a Eucharist Minister for both churches. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann Sodality of Assumption Church.
She loved to read, shopping, summer vacations on Cape Cod with her husband’s family, and most of all being with her husband and both families. She will be greatly missed.
Calling hours and Funeral will both be held on Saturday, December 4th from Cartier’s Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Visiting time from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Blackstone. For those wishing to make a donation in memory of Rose L.
