Jersey Mike’s (Franklin) Earmark’s 20% of Wednesday Sales to Shirley Branco Owen Children’s Fund

We hear from an impeccable (but not official) source, that the Jersey Mike’s franchise at 471 West Central Street, plans to contribute 20 percent of sales on Wednesday, Dec. 22, to the Shirley Branco Owen fund, set up to benefit survivors. Nice job, folks.

A Franklin Connection for Senator Dole


Another impeccable source says that the late Senator Bob Dole made a number of visits to Franklin in the past, thanks to a family connection of his first wife. He supped by a local hearth and was deemed a hail fellow well met.
