Notice is hereby given that the Franklin Board of Health will hold both a Remote Public Hearing via Zoom and in-person in the Training Room, 3rd Floor of the Town hall on January 5, 2022. Please visit our town website for information and access to the meeting.
Time: 5:00PM
The hearing will discuss making a regulation on use of existing septic tanks in repair or upgrade situations. Existing septic tanks that do not meet the current Title 5 minimum capacity requirements of 1500 gallons will not be approved for use in either a repair or upgrade situation. In addition, all septic tanks installed prior to March 31, 1995 will not be approved for use in either a repair or upgrade situation.

In accordance with MGL c. 30 section 5, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to seek sealed bids to provide the Town of Franklin Public Schools with scheduled school bus transportation of designated school children. This opportunity is for a three year contract, which includes two one-year Town options to renew (subject to annual appropriation).
Project: The contract will include the furnishing of all necessary and required transportation equipment, inspection, fleet maintenance, and garaging of equipment. In addition, the contractor shall provide qualified staff to operate the vehicles and provide training and supervision of staff. Staff are required to complete vehicle evacuation drills on a semi-annual basis. Contractor is responsible for the registration, licensing, insurance, training and safety instruction, route planning and conformance to all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Motor Vehicles, as well as conformance with any and all applicable federal laws, rules and regulations as required.

Location: Various locations within the Town of Franklin, as well as transportation to and from athletic events and field trips which are outside of Franklin.

In accordance with the Town of Franklin Zoning By-Laws, the Franklin Planning Board will hold a public hearing at the Town Hall (and can also be attended remotely) on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 7:10 PM in the Town Council Chambers of the Franklin Municipal Building, 355 East Central Street, for a modification of the Special Permit for 162 Grove Street in Franklin, MA submitted to the Department of Planning and Community Development by New England Treatment Access, LLC, 5 Forge Parkway, Franklin, MA 02038.
The site is located at 162 Grove Street in the Industrial Zoning District (Assessors Map 306, Lot 003). The applicant is requesting a modification to the Special Permit approved on October 25, 2020. The modification is to allow walk-in customers, and not require appointment only.
