What is Gilly’s House?

“Gilly's House is a residential opportunity for men who have struggled with addiction and want to continue their recovery. It offers a stable, structured and supportive environment to achieve personal goals while attaining the transitional life skills necessary to reintegrate into community life. Caring for the needs of each individual, Gilly's House collaboratively works with each man to develop personal goals and a plan to reach them. “

The organization was built in honor of Steven Gillmeister, who died in 2016 at the age of 25, killed by a heroin overdose.

Originally involved with drugs in his teens, Gillmeister, best known as Gilly, attempted a number of strategies and programs to break free but never got has far as he had hoped, according to the Gilly House web site.

Gilly’s House offers those in need of its services 24-hour staffing in a home-like environment. On site parking, food, linens and other capabilities help support recovery activities.
