Robert Mutchler of West Bridgewater MA, formerly of Brockton, MA, Franklin MA, and Quincy MA, passed away June 17th surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was 91.

Robert was born in Karnes City TX, son of the late Bernard and Amelia Korzekwa Mutchler.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War at the Squantum Naval Air station where he met his wife Ida Marrazzo and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Robert was a proud graduate of Bryant University. After his service in the Navy, Robert started a long career in the commercial banking industry, working at Norfolk County Trust, United National Bank, Bank of New England and Bank of America. After retiring he went back to work at his son’s company OfficeLand in Mansfield MA. Robert was happy to volunteer with the Jaycees Club in Franklin, Junior Achievement in Mansfield and with Rotary Club of North Attleboro. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Franklin.

He is survived by his wife devoted Ida Marrazzo Mutchler and their children Steven and wife Judith Van Leeuwen Mutchler of Taunton and their children Joanna Mutchler Vargas and husband Mathew of Taunton and daughter Lindsey of Falmouth, daughter Cynthia Mutchler Fournier and her husband Paul of Fairfield CT and their children Christopher Fournier and wife Laura Jane of Southbury CT, and Michael Fournier and wife Channing of Fairfield CT. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Colton, Wyatt, Gunner and Maci Fournier, Newborn Amira Fournier. Ariana DeSenna and Vivian Vargas. He is also survived by his brother Alfred and wife Ruby Mutchler of Texas. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Gerald, Thomas and sister Bernice.

Memorial visitation will be at the Russell and Pica Funeral Home, 411 S Main St, West Bridgewater MA, Wednesday June 22, 2022 between 4:00 & 6:00PM with a Catholic prayer service at 6:00PM. Burial will be private at a later date.
