Fallen Hero -- Richard L. Desper -- Mon. 9 am

On Monday, Feb. 26, there wiill be a “Fallen Hero Remembrance” ceremony at 9:00 a.m. for Richard L. Desper (Vietman) at his memorial monument on the Veteran’s Walkway at the Town Common. This follows a ceremony Saturday, for David Laughlan III, who lost his life during the the Second World War. Each ceremony includes a short speech about the individual's life, followed by a bugler playing Taps. In addition, a wreath is placed at his monument that remains there for the entire day. Family and friends and the public are cordially invited to attend.
Future ceremonies will be held for each Franklin Fallen Hero at their respective monuments on the day that they died.
