It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce that Samuel Pendleton Waters (“Sam”) died on May 20, 2023, in Mansfield, MA. He was a victim of gun violence. Sam grew up in Franklin, MA where he graduated from Franklin High School and then attended Nichols College.

Sam was a vibrant, happy person, with a playful spirit that everyone loved. All who knew him describe him as generous, kind, easy to talk to, and fun-loving. He and his friends loved riding, gaming, working out, and being in nature. We can’t count the number of people who considered Sam to be their best friend.

Sam is predeceased by Grandparents Judy Hollander Kerr, Richard and Diane Kerr, and Robert A. Waters Sr.

Sam is survived by his Grandmother Barbara Connolly Waters, older brother Benjamin Nichols Waters (Ben), his parents George and Linda Waters, his Aunts and Uncles Bob Waters, Victoria Waters, Susan Pendleton Kerr, and Dan Greden, and his cousins Bobby and Nicole Waters, Andrew and Kate Greden.

The Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, June 10th at the New England Chapel at 300 East Central St, Franklin, MA, from 2 – 4 pm.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the law enforcement officials so dedicated to justice.
