Food Pantry Ceremonial Grand Opening Next Week

With roots in the community dating back some 30 years, the Franklin Food Pantry has become a familiar part of the community, especially as it established and then expanded its operations -- particularly through Covid.

Last year, the Pantry was able to purchase the former location of Edwin's gifts at 341 West Central. Extensive rehabilitation and improvements were made to make the facilitiy ready for food and clients. And now thanks to staff and volunteers, the "move in," which was mostly conducted at the end of May, new signage is in place, and the organization is prepping for a full opening this coming week.
