It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick Ober Geehan, 62, of Franklin, Massachusetts announces his passing on March 27th at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA following a three-year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Michelle A. (Perchard/Adiletto) Geehan for the past 7 years.
Born in Norwood, MA on November 29th, 1963, Patrick was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Ober) Geehan. Patrick was raised and lived in Walpole until moving to Franklin 8 years ago.
Patrick was a graduate of Walpole High School and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Patrick had been a self-employed carpenter in the local area for many years.
His favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting and playing golf in his spare time. He also enjoyed woodworking and would make tables, birdhouses, charcuterie boards and bowls. He loved spending time with his dog, Bailey and looked forward to visiting the islands of Bermuda and Aruba with his family over the past few years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ryan Geehan and his wife, Meaghan of Sutton and Seamus Geehan of North Attleboro. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Dylan Adiletto of Franklin, Molly Adiletto of Quincy, Jeri Adiletto of Franklin and Jorja Adiletto of Franklin.
He is also survived by his siblings, George Geehan, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Saunderstown, Rhode Island, Susan O’Connor and her husband, Richard of Plainfield, Connecticut and Dennis Michael Geehan and his wife, Noreen of Kingston, New Hampshire.
He is also survived by his granddaughter, Margot.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday April 1st from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Ginley Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Franklin, MA.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 2nd in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) at 11:00 a.m., followed by a burial at St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Blood Cancer United.
