The FHS class of 1953 celebrated their 70th reunion at the Rome Restaurant this past Sunday.
The graduation of the 73 members of the Franklin High School Class of 1953 came just days after the remains of the famous ‘’Worcester Tornado” tore through parts of Franklin and Wrentham, causing significant damage. But with their Latin class motto from Julius Caesar, Veni, Vidi, Vici (I came, I saw,I conquered), they went out into the world and did just that. Several members of the class became prominent and high achievers, in business, the military, and beyond.
The class is less numerous today, but mustered 14 in attendance for this reunion, six of whom remain Franklin residents. And, a classmate noted, it "is never too late" for the two classmates who attended a reunion for their first time.
