Pierce Aluminum in Franklin is a third-generation family-owned distributor and manufacturer of aluminum products that recently received a visit from Congressman Auchincloss, along with State Representative Jeff Roy, according to the Congressman's Newsletter. He wrote, " I toured the factory and met with owner Bob Pierce and his leadership team. I learned about the legacy of customer service that drives the company's culture. We agreed on how mixed signals regarding tariffs drive uncertainty for their business and all businesses."
According to the company website, the company was founded in Canton in 1967, and moved its main operations to historic Franklin, Massachusetts in 2001, approximately halfway between Boston and Providence. With easy access to New England’s interstate highways, our Franklin facility is ideally sited to supply the aluminum needs of military, marine, construction, and the many other industries in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and eastern New York.
In addition to executive offices, the Franklin HQ houses a full inventory of aluminum plate, sheet, and extrusions as well as complete processing, milling, finishing, welding, and fabricating capabilities. Franklin is also the home of the company's first laser cutting machine, which became operational in fall ’22.
Again, quoting Auchincloss, "We also discussed the critical role of affordable, reliable energy for heavy industry. For the United States to offer cheap, clean energy, the public sector must mobilize more investment in small modular nuclear reactors, hot-rock geothermal, and renewables like solar and wind. I have been a strong defender of the Bay State's offshore wind development; I have voted for legislation to advance nuclear power; and I'm working on bipartisan legislation to support hot-rock geothermal. We must march forward on clean energy even in these challenging circumstances."
Pierce Aluminum is located at 34 Forge Park in Franklin.
