Franklin Legion Baseball Beats CT, Advances Again

Undefeated Frankin American Legion Post 75 baseball team managed a 2-1 win over West Hartford, Connecticut Wednesday, according to published reports. It was the start of the 2023 Northeast Regional tournament at Fitton Field, Holy Cross College, in Worcester.

Franklin (25-0) took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning. Franklin is the two-time defending state champion of Massachusetts and beat Shrewsbury in the state final last week, 6-5

Connecticut state champion West Hartford (24-6) will face Nashua, N.H., in an elimination game on Thursday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m.

In game 7 on Thursday, Franklin will face at Legion team from Ellsworth, Maine, at 4.30.
