Proposed work includes the construction of a new single family home with associated grading, septic, and a private well. Approximately 5,291 square feet (sf) of work is proposed within the 100-foot Buffer Zone to Bordering Vegetated Wetlands (BVW). MAPLEGATE COUNTRY CLUB LEGAL NOTICE Town of Franklin Conservation Commission Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Ch. 131, s.40 (The Wetlands Protection Act) Franklin Conservation Commission will hold a Hybrid Public Hearing on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 7:09 PM on a Notice of Intent filed by Dan Wells of LEC Environmental, Wakefield, MA on behalf of Daniel Serber of Maple Street Solar, LLC, Boston, MA. The project proposes the construction of a solar array, along with associated gravel access drives, utilities, and stormwater management. Approximately 854 square feet (sf) of the work is proposed within Bordering Vegetated Wetlands (BVW). Additionally, approximately 84,640 sf of work is proposed within the 100-foot Buffer Zone to BVW, of which approximately 1,148 sf is proposed within the 25-foot “No Disturbance” Zone; 22,500 sf within the 25- to 50-foot Buffer Zone; and 60,992 sf within the 50- to 100-foot Buffer Zone. The Project is located at Maplegate Country Club, and includes the southern lots on the Assessors Map 239, Lot 10. Map 254 Lot 009 and Map 255 Lot 001 with access through Bellingham, in the Industrial Zone. The hearing will provide an open forum for the discussion. LEGAL NOTICE FRANKLIN, MA The Franklin Town Council will hold a second reading and final vote on the adoption of two Town Code Bylaw Amendments as follows: 23-902: Chapter 147, Snow and Ice, Removal Of - Adds a new bylaw which imposes requirements upon abutting property owners to remove snow and ice from public sidewalks as indicated in the proposed map titled “Sidewalk Snow Removal Required By Property Owner” 23-903: Chapter 82, Fees, Municipal Service, § 82-6 Schedule of Service Fees, Subsection L. Public Works - Revises the fee schedule to increase the cost to recycle a mattress and/or box spring from $10 to $65 The second reading and final votes on adoption of each of these bylaw amendments will take place during the Town Council Public Meeting beginning at 7:00 pm on December 20, 2023; there will be an opportunity for public input during the process.
