Deborah Jean (Kite) LeBeau passed away peacefully in her sleep at Milford Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

“Deb” was born and raised in Coventry, spending most of her childhood in Greene, RI.

Deb is survived by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” A. LeBeau, Sr., with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last September. Deborah was a daughter of the late Clifford B. Kite and Ruth L. (Buck) Kite. A graduate of Coventry High School, Class of 1971, "Debbie" joined her husband as the U.S. Navy sent them to exotic ports of call, including Memphis, TN, Pax River, MD, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (twice), Warminster, PA, and Virginia Beach, VA. They eventually moved to Mystic, CT, and most recently to Franklin, MA.

Debbie was an exceptionally talented cake decorator, having made many special birthday, graduation, and other commissioned cakes. Unbeknownst to her at the time, she even made her son's surprise wedding cake. She enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood and Rhode Island folklore. Her children recall her love of movie musicals, especially The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, and Mary Poppins. The LeBeau house was filled with many Beatles sing along moments.

Deborah's pride and joy were her children whom she cherished. When they were happy, so was she. Deb is survived by her son Robert "Robbie" A. LeBeau, Jr. (Alicia) and her daughter Kelly Jean Steel (Michael). Deb was adoring "Nana" to Daphne Jean Steel. She was her sunshine!

Debbie leaves her loving sisters Linda Meunier (Roland) and Carol Fusco (George). She was sister of the late Grace Mayette and Bonnie Sylvester. Deb leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends, all of whom she cared for very deeply.

Donations in Deb's memory may be made to the PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome Foundation at: ptenfoundation.org.
