Franklin's Kristi Kirshe Playing for US in Paris Olympics

Kristi Kirshe, daughter of Greg and Kathy Kirshe, grew up in Franklin and didn't start playing rugby until age 23, though she played soccer at Williams College. Now, once again, she is on her way to the Olympics as part of the women's rugby contingent.

She was on the USA 2020 Olympics team (Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, 6th Team - Women) and will be representing the USA in Paris starting in a few days.

The 2024 Summer Olympics (the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad) run from July 26 to August 11. This will be the third time Paris hosts the Olympics. About 11,000 athletes in total are expected to participate.
