Franklin Beaver St Interceptor Update for Week of September 9th!

From the Franklin DPW: Monday (9/9) - Thursday (9/12): The construction crew will be working on West Central St between Rt 140 and Forge Pkwy between the hours of 7am-4pm. West Central St will be closed in both directions. Please follow posted detour signs for directions. At the Franklin Recreation Center, the construction of the new Beaver Street Interceptor Pump Station will continue with excavation to get the final grade depth for the pump station foundation.

Calling all Women Veterans! Join us for a free Self-Care Workshop in Franklin on Fri 13 Sept (12 noon) at the Franklin Senior Center. The workshop will be facilitated by the new EOVS Program Director for the Women Veterans Network (WVN), Jessica Frost D.M.

Medway Gets AAA Rating

The Town of Medway has again been affirmed with a prestigious AAA rating, reflecting strong financial health, responsible fiscal management, and the Town’s ability to meet its financial commitments. It also positions the town to secure more favorable interest rates for future projects, ultimately benefiting the community.

Congrats to the Town of Wrentham!

Town Manager Kevin Sweet is pleased to share that the Town of Wrentham has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Fiscal 2025 budget. The GFOA judges budgets on four criteria:

• As a policy document

• As a financial plan

• As an operations guide

• As a communications device

This is the first time Wrentham has received this award.

A Flag Flap In Franklin, (Franklin, Tennessee, that is)

Franklin, MA had some flag-flying controversy in recent months, but nothing like its sister city 'down sout.' A Franklin, Tennessee resident is asking city leaders to reconsider an ordinance after he received a citation for having too many flags in his front yard. Duane Charlton has lived on Birchwood Circle for nearly three decades. Currently, he has seven flags posted along his curb, as well as two flag poles that each have two flags.
