A Town Hall at a Town Hall

State Senator Becca Rausch held the first of her  fall “town halls” last night, appropriately enough, at the Needham Town Hall at 6 pm.

The event attracted about 10 individuals plus her staffers, for a brief update from Rausch on her work and legislatives wins. She also mentioned funding she won for local communities, concentrating just on the towns in the northern part of the district closest to Needham.

Needham itself, which is about the same size as Franklin, garnered nearly $18 million in funding, while Millis, with about 8500 people, got almost $7 million, according to Rausch.

Rausch also talked up a number of legislative wins, though she admitted that a number of important bills got stalled in the legislature this session.

At the end of the session, which was also broadcast to constituents, she took questions for several minutes before closing the session around 6.50 pm

A similar event is planned at the Franklin Senior Center, at 6 pm, on Sept. 24.
