Jeanne Elizabeth (Socci) Pisani, 77, of Franklin, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted and loving family on September 29th, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Pauline Socci, sister to the late Paul Socci and his wife Linda, sister in law to the late Leon Pisani and his wife Beth, and wife of the late Dennis Paul Pisani. Jeanne was born on July 9th, 1947 in Franklin, and spent her childhood at 13 Ray Street -Franklin’s shortest street. The former homecoming queen first met Dennis at the Fireman’s Muster when she was 14 and later married the love of her life on June 7th, 1965.

She was the heart of Pilgrim Steel and Badd Brothers, where she worked until her retirement. An avid golfer, she was a past member of the Franklin Country Club, achieving legendary status as the Class A Club Champion in 2002. She also recorded two hole-in-ones, the first being on February 28th, 2000 at Mission Hills North Golf Club, and the second being on August 11th, 2011 at Pinehurst Golf Club. More recently, she was a member of the Hopedale Country Club, where she loved golfing with her friends, and was not afraid to yell at people who hit into her.

In addition to her illustrious golf career, Jeanne loved to ski, especially with her grandchildren- but she never took a liking to snowboarders. She also played pickleball, card games and tennis. She was the Franklin High School varsity tennis coach and assistant youth softball coach where she made an impact on young lives. She also loved White Mountain jigsaw puzzles, as well as baking and cooking with her specialties being Italian white cookies and her from-scratch coffee cake. She enjoyed making homemade pasta -or any recipe- with her grandkids. In addition, she enjoyed her time working at the polls each election.

Jeanne, known in her family as Grammie, was the number one fan of every sport that her children and grandchildren played, and always thought she was a better referee than the ones in the game. She was a world traveler and enjoyed exploring new places. Her favorite movies were The Godfather, Saw, Jumanji and Happy Gilmore, all of which she enjoyed exposing her grandchildren to at a very young age.

Jeanne was a generous, kind, feisty, loyal, loving, intelligent and strong willed woman who could hold her own in any situation. She loved her pets, especially her late golden retriever Lola, and her two beloved cats, Teddy and Girl. She was famous for saying “What’s the matter, you sick?” if you didn’t eat enough of her food.

Jeanne is survived by her three loving children and their spouses, Stephen and Renea, Christopher and Annmarie, Amy and Patrick, her 10 adoring grandchildren, Zachary, Joshua, Nicole, Dennis, Stephanie, Julianne, Tracy, Daniel, Sullivan and Elizabeth, and her first great grandchild, Collins.

Calling hours will be Monday, October 7th from 4-7PM at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St.

Her funeral Mass will be Tuesday October 8th at 10:00AM at Saint Mary’s Church in Franklin.

Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
