Deborah (Johnson) Pittman, 69, of Franklin died May 14, at her sister’s home, surrounded by family, following a long, brave battle with cancer.

Born in Milford, September 3, 1956, the daughter of the late Wesley and Virginia (Bates) Johnson, Deborah was raised in Medway and had lived in Franklin for the past 45 years. She was a lifelong resident of Massachusetts.

She was a graduate of Medway High School and had an accounting degree from Dean College.

Deborah had worked for the Town of Franklin School Department for over 30 years in the central office.

She loved trips to the beach and fun times with her good friends and family. A devoted and loving mother, she dedicated her life to raising and helping her children and grandchildren. She was an extremely talented home cook whose holiday feasts will never be equaled or forgotten, and she will be dearly missed.

Deborah is survived by her sons, Chris Pittman of Franklin and Timothy Pittman and his wife Aimee of Warwick, Rhode Island.

She was the mother of the late Matthew Pittman.

Deborah is also survived by her siblings, Wesley Johnson of Bourne, Judith Moore of Bellingham, and Pamela MacDougall of Medway.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, August, Tobias and Winifred, and by her former husband and long-time friend, Fred Pittman.

Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20 from 10:00-Noon in the funeral home.
