SAFE Coalition will host “Night to Remember,” a free, sober prom night celebration for high school students, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. at their office in Franklin.
Prom season is widely recognized as one of the highest-risk times of year for teen substance use. This event offers Norfolk County teens a safe, fun, and welcoming Saturday night alternative during this critical window.
“We know that protective factors like positive peer environments and community connection make a real difference,” says Director of Adolescent Wellness Emma Kelley. “Night to Remember gives teens a space to celebrate safely with their peers, and it gives parents peace of mind during a time of year that can feel especially uncertain.”
The glow-and-neon themed evening will feature a live DJ, a mocktail bar, snacks, a photo booth, games including cornhole and oversized Jenga, glow bracelets, temporary tattoos, and prize giveaways.
This event is part of SAFE’s ongoing substance use diversion and prevention work with adolescents and reflects the organization's commitment to providing community spaces where teens can gather safely and confidently.
“Humans need connection, fun, and celebration, and teens are no different,” says Adolescent Wellness Instructor Mikaela Weinstein “Our goal was to create a space for our community that embodies all of this without having the added pressures of substance use.”
Registration is free and required by Thursday, June 11. Spots are limited. Parents, guardians, and teens can register at https://tinyurl.com/safeprom
Night to Remember is made possible by the generous support of the Lawson Charitable Foundation, Community Health Systems Foundation, and Rockland Trust.
