FRANKLIN/MEDWAY: Marjorie Wyman

Marjorie “Midge” Wilmarth Wyman, 97, of Franklin, died peacefully and in the care and comfort of her family on Saturday, November 9, 2024, following a period of declining health. She was born in Framingham on August 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Russell D. Wilmarth and Harriet M. (Hook) Wilmarth.

Midge was the beloved wife for 51 years of the late Louis E. Wyman, Jr. who died on March 20, 2004. Midge was the loving mother of Thomas L. Wyman and his late wife Patricia of Norfolk, Robert S. Wyman and his wife Nancy of Franklin and James R. Wyman and his wife Sharon of Webster. She was the cherished “Nana” of James, Heather, Kevin, Kimberley, Stephen, Justin, Mathew, and the late Christopher and great-Nana to Jameson and Colton. Sister of the late Robert E. Wilmarth and Warren H. Wilmarth. She also leaves her companion of many years, Lorenz Duerr of Franklin.

Midge spent her formative years in Medway, graduated from Medway High School, and in 1948 she received her BS in Nursing from the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. Midge had a long and fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse and was the School Nurse for the Town of Medway for many years before retiring. She and Lou enjoyed their retirement years in Yarmouth, Maine where she enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. Her most passionate pastime was gardening at which she was very talented. While living in Uxbridge she designed and planted a Japanese Garden for all to enjoy and be inspired by. She loved the birds on her property as she spent countless hours planting and raising her flower gardens, She was a member of the Fortnightly Garden Club of Yarmouth, ME, the Medway Garden Club, and the Uxbridge Garden Club.

Midge will always be remembered for her kindness, her quick wit, and always ready to help others not to mention that she always enjoyed a good time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. Her funeral home service will be at 11:00 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Boston Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
