According to a recent Boston Globe report, the Healy administration awarded a no-bid contract to an East Boston firm, Spinelli's, to feed migrants. The contract was valued at nearly $10 million. According to the Globe report, the firm charged one-third more than its competitors and served meals that were sometimes dangerous and uncooked.

According to a report in National Law Review, EMS Warehousing and Distribution, Inc. in Franklin filed for bankruptcy in a Worcester Court on Dec. 19. The company has other Massachusetts locations and it is not clear whether this applies to all locations or just Franklin.
