According to a recent Boston Globe report, the Healy administration awarded a no-bid contract to an East Boston firm, Spinelli's, to feed migrants. The contract was valued at nearly $10 million. According to the Globe report, the firm charged one-third more than its competitors and served meals that were sometimes dangerous and uncooked.

After 43 years of helping FHS become a wrestling powerhouse, coach Carmine Colace is preparing to step back from the program. He has reportedly earned more than 700 victories, 21 Hockomock titles, and nine state team titles while also coached 25 state champions and five New England winners.

According to a report in National Law Review, EMS Warehousing and Distribution, Inc. in Franklin filed for bankruptcy in a Worcester Court on Dec. 19. The company has other Massachusetts locations and it is not clear whether this applies to all locations or just Franklin.
