Donald Herbert Hovey, 86, of Medway died January 3 at Milford Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Sandra L. (Walenski) Hovey who died in 2023.
Born in Boston April 26, 1938, the son of the late Herbert and Thelma (Ayers) Hovey.
Mr. Hovey was a lifelong Medway resident. He graduated from Medway High School , Class of 1956.
Donald had been the owner and manager of Keystone Liquors in Medway for many years.
He had also been the owner of Footwear Associated Products in Medway.
Being a Work- A- Holic in his later years he worked for the Wilde Corporation in Holliston.
Donald enjoyed watching parades, country music and going to the Indian Ranch in Webster.
Donald is survived by his children Dawn Louise Leighton and her husband Leonard of Medway and Jeffrey Hovey of Medway.
He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Christian Leighton and Nicole Hovey.
Donald’s services will be private at the request of his family.
