James A. Blackwood, Sr., of Foxborough, MA., passed away at home after a long illness on December 14, 2024.
James was born in Franklin, MA. where he lived until attending the Mass Maritime Academy in Bourne for college. After college, Jim joined the Foxboro Company where he worked for 38 years until retirement at age 60. His passions were all types of fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Easton Rod and Gun Club for over 30 years.
In addition to his wife Elizabeth of Foxborough, he is survived by two children, Jamie A. Blackwood, Jr. of Taunton and Alison Washburn of Easton. Beloved brother of his twin sister Marianne McMichael of Florida and Lance C. Blackwood of Mississippi. Adoring grandfather of three grandchildren, Martion Washburn of Easton, Damien Rosenfield of Middleborough and Harleigh Curtis of Rhode Island. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
