The Charles River Pollution Control District is sending
off its co-op students from Tri-County Regional Vocational
Technical High School on to their next adventure. Cayden
Bourassa (left) is heading to the University of Hartford to study
Electrical Engineering and Connor Girouard (right) is heading to
MassBay Community College and then to UMass Lowell to study
Mechanical Engineering. Connor and Cayden have worked at the District
as part of their vocational high school education requirements and have helped
the District in many projects over the past year. The District is now
in its fourth year of the co-op program with Tri-County.

“The co-op program is such a valuable program for both the District and the students," explained Elizabeth Taglieri, P.E. Executive Director. As a regional, advanced wastewater treatment plant that treats wastewater from the Towns of Franklin, Medway, Millis and Bellingham, it takes a lot of talented people to operate and maintain the many individual treatment processes, she explained.  "The co-ops are able to provide the District with much needed assistance, while also learning more about wastewater treatment and receiving real world work experience in a professional workplace," she noted.

"Thank you Cayden and Connor for all of your hard work and good luck," Taglieri added.
