FRANKLIN: James G. “Mac” McEwan

James G. “Mac” McEwan, 67, of Franklin died peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Medway Country Manor. He was the husband of Cynthia J. (Cheney) McEwan for the past 38 years.

Mac was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on January 21, 1958, and grew up in Arizona. He proudly served in the US Coast Guard for 10 years.

Mac was a resident of Franklin for 38 years. Before his retirement, he worked at Shons Scientific Refrigeration in Dedham for many years.

Mac loved motorcycles and was an avid Harley Davidson rider. He was a member of Sheldon’s Motorcycle Club in Worcester and had ridden all over the country, along with his wife Cynthia.

Mac was loved by all and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Medway.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Jonathan McEwan and his wife Heather of Westboro, and his step-son Jeff Holmes of Uxbridge.

A memorial service will take place at Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School Street in Medway at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made inn Mac’s memory to Christ Episcopal Church, 14 School St., Medway, MA 02053.
