This December, the beloved community art tradition “Finding the Light” returns for its fifth year in downtown Franklin. Created by local artist Amy Adams (Painting Venus), the project invites the public to take part in a town wide art gift-away. Each Sunday morning an original, gift-wrapped artwork adorned with silver or gold accents will be placed at a secret downtown location, revealed only by mid week clues.
Launched in honor of loved ones lost and in solidarity with neighbors who may be navigating challenges, “Finding the Light” offers moments of joy, surprise, and shared humanity during the holiday season. Participants are encouraged not only to keep their found piece, but to share it gifting it to others who might need a spark of light.
“This gift-away is a quiet way to remind our community that even in difficult times, light lives and grows when we pass it on.”
Schedule: Sunday mornings (8-11AM) Starting November 30th through December, visible downtown locations (clues released mid-week).
How to participate: Follow weekly clues via Painting Venus Facebook page or on Instagram. Explore downtown Franklin, find the hidden artwork, take a photo to share.

In the heart of town where stories stay,
A longtime shop frames light each day
Inside, colors change with care
Yet one green frame still greets the square
.Look through glass where time feels kind….your art of light is yours to find.
