Michael Carroll, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Dean Bank, was recently appointed to the Old Colony Habitat for Humanity (OCHFH) Board of Directors.

Carroll brings valuable expertise to the local non-profit organization, which provides affordable housing to families in need through its home builds which rely on the support of local organizations and volunteers.

Carroll serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Dean Bank in Franklin, MA, where he has proudly served for 15 years. With a lifelong career in financial services, including banking and credit unions, he brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his work. A graduate of Bishop Feehan High School and Providence College, he values education and community deeply.

“Community service has been an integral component of my employment over the course of my career in community-focused financial institutions,” said Carroll. “The prospect of fundamentally changing lives through service with Habitat for Humanity was exciting and intriguing for me. I’m honored and grateful to have been given this opportunity and look forward to beginning.”

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors, Carroll also serves as Treasurer on the non-profit’s Finance Committee. The Finance Committee is primarily responsible for helping OCHFH manage the finances for the home builds and overall financial responsibility of the organization.

“As a father of four adult children and several grandchildren, Carroll understands the positive effect stable housing can have on school-aged children and growing families,” said OCHFH CEO, Kimberly Thomas. “Carroll’s expertise is already proving to be a tremendous asset to our organization. He will make a great impact on our organization and within our community. We are so fortunate to have him as an additional Board Member who will share his expertise and passion with our organization. We welcome him to our Old Colony Board and are excited for him to make a positive impact in our community, sharing our mission for affordable housing.”

The non-profit’s current Home Build is taking place at 762 Washington Street in Franklin, where local volunteers and contractors are transforming the former South Franklin Congregational Meeting House – also known as “Old South” – into a modern, affordable home. This beautiful and historically significant structure will soon be converted into a 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom home for Old Colony Habitat’s next Partner Family.

Old Colony Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1989 as Attleboro Area Habitat for Humanity and is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.

Habitat succeeds in reintroducing into neighborhoods the most basic building block of any community – the homeowner. OCHFH is all of us working together, partnering with families to improve their housing, both locally and around the world and to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
