Community Choice Power Supply Program Enrollment Update

From the Town of Franklin...

Beginning Thursday, July 16, the Town of Franklin, c/o First Point Power LLC, will mail information about the Community Choice Power Supply Program to eligible National Grid and Eversource Basic Service customers.

Residents and commercial customers who are currently receiving Basic Service through National Grid and Eversource and have not previously received a program notification will receive a consumer notification letter and an opt-out card. All Basic Service consumers who have been mailed this notification will be automatically enrolled in the Program with the Town's Standard Program Rate of $0.15 / KwH unless they opt out by August 19, 2026.

Additionally, consumers who are enrolled with a third-party supplier (as of mid-June) will be mailed an informational-only postcard.

The Community Choice Power Supply Program is a municipal aggregation program that provides an alternative electricity supply option. First Point Power is the Town's current electricity supplier. The program affects only the electricity supply portion of your bill. Your electric utility will continue to deliver your electricity, send your bill, and respond to outages and emergencies. Service reliability and customer protections will not change.

The Town's Standard Program Rate of $0.15 / KwH is guaranteed through November 2028.
