MEDWAY: Marie E. Duggan

DUGGAN, Marie E. Of Medway, formerly of Chestnut Hill passed away on December 10, 2025. Loving daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Lorenz) Duggan. Devoted sister of William Duggan of Carver, Ann Winkle and her late husband Gordon of Medfield, Thomas Duggan of Tiverton, RI., Elizbeth Denman and her husband Jeff of Walpole, Joan Mahon and her husband Tom of Brookline and the late Kathleen Wilson and her late husband David. Beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Marie was a graduate of the 1963 Boston College School of Nursing. Her career as an operating room nurse spanned 50 years. She first worked at the Deaconess Hospital and the down in Washington, D.C at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital. Marie came back to New England and continued her work at Surgicenters in the Boston area until her retirement 14 years ago.

Visitation will be held in the Bell-O’Dea Funeral Home, 376 Washington St., Brookline, on Tuesday December 16th from 9:00 – 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Lawrence Church, Chestnut Hill at 11:00. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marie may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl.
