In expectation of families looking for activities during the balance of the year and beyond, the town's two museums have announced their respective schedules.
The Children's Museum of Franklin, note that they will be closed December 23–December 25 and January 1, and open with holiday hours on all other days over Winter Break. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, as holiday visits often sell out.
Holiday Hours are as follows:
Friday, 12/26: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Saturday, 12/27: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Sunday, 12/28: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Monday, 12/29: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Tuesday, 12/30: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Wednesday, 12/31: 9:00 am–1:30 pm
Friday, 1/2: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Saturday, 1/3: 9:00 am–4:00 pm
Sunday, 1/4: 9:00 am–4:00 pm

Meeanwhile, at the Franklin Historical Museum, 80 West Central Street, individuals and families are encouraged to stop by to see the museum's array of antiquities as well as the stunning Franklin in Miniature diorama exhibit, continuing through the end of January. The dioramsa showcase what different sections of downtown Franklin looked like in 1932.
In addition to regular weekend hours, the museum plans to be open for extended hours to showcase this special exhibit. Dec 6-Dec 30 from 1-5 daily. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated.
