Harold L. Nickerson, Jr.

Beloved father and grandfather; Harold L. Nickerson, Jr., 78, of Franklin, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Serenity Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham.
Born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, September 20, 1947, the son of the late Harold and the late Lucille (DeFalco) Nickerson, he graduated from Chatham High School in the class of 1965.
He joined the United States Army in 1972 and served his country honorably before being discharged in 1976. He earned a National Defense Service Medal, an Army Occupation Medal, and an Expert Infantry Badge for his service.
Harold worked as a Business Representative for the International Union of Painters and Allied Professionals. Later in his life Harold attended Cape Cod Community College where he earned an associate's degree in computer science.
In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, history, fishing, camping, and travelling to Cape Cod.
He is survived by two daughters, Jessica W. Nickerson-Cohen and her husband Ben of Franklin, MA, and Catherine L. Nickerson of Providence, RI; a son, Richard L. Nickerson of Franklin, MA; his former wife, Cheryl Choate Nickerson, and his grandchildren.
